| bf.collaboration Inc.’s Latest Editions of bf.documents™ and bf.collaboration™ Deliver Major Advancements |
|
VIENNA, VIRGINIA, March 31, 2005 -- bf.collaboration,
Inc., a software products and services company specializing in
web-based, enterprise document management and collaboration software,
has released its latest editions of bf.documents and bf.collaboration
with a significant set of new tools and capabilities.
* True LDAP/Active Directory (AD) Integration:
Administrators now have the option to batch-import users from an
LDAP/AD Directory Service, as well as configure bf.documents and
bf.collaboration to automatically authenticate users against a specified
Directory Service. This enables bf.documents and bf.collaboration to be
an integrated part of a user’s enterprise-wide Single Sign-On (SSO).
* One-step Folder Import Tool: Administrators and users
are now able to load entire folders, containing electronic files and
subfolders, into bf.documents with just one rapid import. This eliminates
the tedious task of manually adding and configuring multiple folders and
documents.
* Network/Folder Mapping is now available as a way to
make existing network folders on the organization’s network available
through the folder structure of your web-based document management system.
* Advanced Full-Text Search Center: bf.collaboration’s
system-wide, advanced full-text search center consolidates the document
content and metadata search from bf.documents, along with the metadata
search for searching discussion forums and calendars.
The latest edition of bf.documents includes significant time-saving tools
for system administrators. Lauren Freeman of bf.collaboration notes, "Our
customers have always stressed the ease-of-use for their users and how its
simplicity is a primary reason they chose bf.documents and bf.collaboration.
Now we’re leading the way in ease-of-use for system administrators as
well."
Lee Young of Investment Planning Counsel (IPCC) adds, "Single Sign-On
is becoming an important part of our organization. We were quite excited
to learn that bf.documents incorporated LDAP for authentication because we
are moving most of our web based solutions that way anyway. We're really
pleased with the ability to add someone in Active Directory and the user
will show up in bf.documents without interaction from an administrator.”
These additions to bf.documents and bf.collaboration, along with
bf.collaboration Inc.’s continued commitment to fair pricing, which includes
no per-user or annual fees, maintains bf.documents and bf.collaboration as
leaders in value-added document and enterprise collaboration tools.
